The Fun Fair

Friday was the annual Fairplay Fun Fair for kids ages 1-5. It was SO much fun. All free, they had everything from bouncy castles and butterfly touch gardens to Smokey the Bear and rangers from the CO department of Wildlife teaching the kids about the animals in our area. It was WONDERDFUL! All 3 kids saw their own teachers and friends there and felt so proud introducing them to one another.
Both boys braved holding a tarantula! (Josslyn was still asleep in the car with daddy but I KNOW she would have held it, too!)

Tye LOVES all critters.

Bubble girl, Joss.

Tye in the bubble!

And JJ in the bub.

FUN!

Making a tornado in the science station.

Jake tried on the Fire Captain's helmet.

And Tye, too!

They got to try on his very heavy coat, too.

Tye nearly fell over from the weight.

And they got a tour of an ambulance, arial ladder truck and brush rig.

We thanks the EMTs for all they do for us but told them that we hope to never need them at our house!

Even Smokey the Bear was there to talk to the kids about forest fire dangers.

And the CO Department of Wildlife's Mark Lamb was Fantastic and told my kids specifically how to stay safe from the animals most prevalent around our home.

They got to touch all sorts of wild animal furs.

Jake has an Elk foot in his hand! Ewwwww.

Jake made a bracelet for his sister...so sweet.

Josslyn's teacher ran the flower planting station.

Joss already plucked the petals off Jake's flower...It has flower buds already!

Tye shows Jake something "really cool" in the science center.

At the face painting station, Jake asked for a donkey, Tye a bat and Joss had a rainbow.

She's unsure of sitting on the nice lady's lap!
Not too sure of what just happened to her face.
On the way home, we got some presents in the mail from Grammy and Papa...Joss shows her new ring (She loved it, Mom!)

After we got home from the fun fair, we went on a LONG quad ride in the forest.

CORRECTION: Joss and JAKE rode with mommy.

Daddy took TYE. (Did anyone notice that I made that error?)

In the big tall trees.

    good times!
