Another Saturday in Breckenridge

We had a nice day yesterday in Breck.  Jake is really getting his heel/toe down and Tye is gaining loads of confidence riding without the harness.

Our selfportrait on the chairlift.  Jake and I can now ride together and he quite literally beats me down the mountain every time!

Here's a picture of Jake and the view down below.

Little Miss Happy riding the bus back to the car.

Oops...we got on the wrong bus...a little snuggle time till we get to the correct parking lot.

The boys, faking a smile...truthfully, angry that we're leaving after only 6 hours of riding today!

A Fun Weekend

The boys were very excited for their first Night Riding!  Keystone has night riding until 9pm and all 3 kids were amazing troopers!

From Keystone on Friday night, we went straight to the RV to be closer to our next destination.

Joss was ready to go in her early xmas gifts from Nicole, Nate and Sage.

Saturday morning we headed straight from the RV to Arapahoe Ski Area and met up with friends.

The boys rode all day and improved INCREDIBLY in just one day!

Joss is patiently awaiting her new big girl skis...so sledding is a must!

Nick practiced getting on and off the chair lift with Jake and Tye in hopes of them being able to ride the chair alone soon.  (Don't worry: Just when we're at the bunny hill!)

Up, up and away!

The bunny hill is right in front of an area called. The Beach.  Its an open area that you can back up to and tailgate with friends.  It was a great day.  We had grilled vegetables and burgers.  It was a blast!

Jake, strapping in.

Looking back at the chair....

Dad braces himself to catch them if they go down...

But, they did it!!
It was another fun weekend!  XOXO-Danielle

It's on: Our first family snowboarding adventure this season!

We went to our home mountain Breckenridge for the first time this season with the kids.  Chase generously joined us to help Nick get the boys back up and riding their snowboards.

Don't let all the gear fool you!  It was a nice 45 degrees and sunny all day!  A perfect day for the first day back on the slopes.

Joss and I followed the boys to the lift to watch them on their first ride up and run down.  Jake strapped in first and rode the chair with Chase.

Didn't take too long for them get the swing of things for their 2nd season.

Joss cheered them on in between bites of snow.

She waited patiently for "her boys" to come down the mountain.

In the distance, you can see Jake in his green coat....notice the adults fallen down in the in picture!!!

Chase was a big help strapping and unstrapping the bindings.

Joss and I got a prime spot to hang out on the deck of the lodge for us all to hang out.  We could even watch each other ride down each time.

Not much snow yet but still beautiful.

We traded off riding all day.  When we weren't riding we got to enjoy the views.

You can see the lines in the background of this photo...although, it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated for Thanksgiving weekend.

Joss mostly just looked cute.

The 4 guys coming to relieve mom for some runs.

Between riding, the boys and Joss enjoyed some booty sledding.

Creative little fellas, even built a little jump at the bottom of the hill to launch themselves off of!

A smiley Jake said "I had forgotten how much fun snowboarding is!  I LOVE it!"

The newly 5 Tysen will be riding sans mom and dad in no time at all!!

Thanksgiving 2009!

We started the day celebrating Tye's 5th birthday! Yes, his birthday is today along with his cousin Leighton and uncle Jon! (Happy Birthday to both of you, too!!) Tye got to open some presents and even had a couple friends over for candles in pumpkin pie. Gail also came by to celebrate Tye's birthday and for Thanksgiving dinner. I enlisted Gail's help to try for a nice family picture for the Christmas cards this year. It was a bust. I've given up on coordinating a picture where the 5 of us all look good...but despite not getting a good family photo, we do have some new hilarious memories that will last a lifetime!! We are Thankful today for so many things, but especially that our fears, 5 years ago today, when Tye was put into the NICU are but a figment of our mind, as he continues to be healthy and thriving.
~Happy Thanksgiving~
